Blimey - not much ever happens in sleepy Peldon.
Was it the junction with Merse Road next to the Peldon Rose? ...king dangerous that I hate turning out of there, should put traffic light there really.

1964....yes,I meant the Oyster Bar......we booked but it was mobbed with the queue for takeaway stretching out to the street. The oysters and fish were perfect...Took 2 hours from Shenfield as got stuck in the traffic at Peldon due to the fatal car crash where one person sadly died....R.I.P.

1964 I believe those extortionate prices in Hi-Tide are in the restaurant. I don't know what they charge for takeaway.

My Mum and Dad always got their Fish and Chips from the Golden Fish back in th 80/90s, my Dad thought it was wonderful.
When I went to visit I had it too, wasn't the best IMO but OKish..

The Hi-Tide in Barkingside High Street charge between £12 and £ 14 for Plaice,Cod and Haddock. The assistant must have a big pair of tits to sell at those prices.

I assume your reffering to the Oyster Bar or the Shed on Coast Road. The Fish and Chip shop in the town near the Church is shit!

The fresh fish sold in the nearest Waitrose to me is more recently caught than that sold in the local fresh fish shop.
